Early Spring Woods

When I returned home from a long hike in the woods yesterday and looked through all my photos I realized I'd gotten caught up in the details. Perhaps because the details are finally unburied and unfrozen!

The field's matted hair

tight round seed pods

amber pine sap-sicles

the lid of an old coffee pot nestled between rocks at the river's edge
where did it come from? how long has it been there?

goodbye, winter.

Lovely photos...nice to be thawing out and wonder what the coffee pot's story is? Thanks for visiting and commenting on my last post, I certainly enjoy following yours!

Melanie--Another synchronicity thing happening! Yesterday, I went for a walk after we got home from visiting B's sick Aunt and took pictures of very similar things. I will have to post them tomorrow night if I'm not too tired after work. It's raining here tonight and supposed to really be blowing and bad tomorrow. Just what I want with an outside job, right? What was that I said about being in a building and working? Maybe I'd better re-think that comment!

Love your photos. Also ...the ring you are wearing. I have one just like it...mine says the divine in me sees the divine in you. What does yours say?

My ring is the mantra Om Namah Shivaya, the great 5-syllable mantra meaning "I bow to Shiva" or, I honor the divine that resides inside of us all.

what a great collection of unusual sights in the woods. to stumble on one would be fun but to stumble on so many? -- magic.
