bubble wonder.
love these.
So fun, a book crossed my desk at the library yesterday and the graphics and subject caught my eye, something about homesteading, I wrote it down. And I noticed it was by Storey, which you just mentioned in one of your comments. Super cool to work for a book publisher like that. Lucky you, well, lucky them really to have you and how neat that you're working with Geninne.
Small world.

I feel like I'm actually there in these photos--really lovely shots. Like that you're examining the elements, too! xo

Is it your eye, your camera, the black background, or all three, that make your photos always so stunning? I would like a couple of these on my wall to look at every day.....

Water is so beautiful on its own. When you look at it closely, so many images and designs come to life on their own, moving gracefully and changing softly in time with its own sweet rhythm. It's no wonder many artists have found inspiration in it and use it as an element or subject for their works.

Bethany, it must have been The Backyard Homestead. A fantastic book. The editor also runs the lovely Remington Lodge (see my Here in the Hills sidebar for a link)...

I like how you can see the bottom of the creek in many of these photos. It provides some interesting colors through the filter of the water.
