Melanie--I've MISSED you! I spent the morning going back in time with your blog and all the great photos. I wish that I could have been following along. It's so familiar to me to see what you post. They are things that I love to photograph too and perhaps that is why I find you "a kindred spirit". I wish that you lived around the corner. I would love to come over and look at all you books, see the rusted metal that you photographed (I call it my Wabi Sabi art or sculptures), see the county fair, that cute frog in the leaf (how you see these things is amazing), and that heart that nature left you that J wasn't too sure of? Well...YES...of COURSE it is a heart!!! WE THINK ALIKE AND I AM HAPPY TO BE IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING AND MEETING UP WITH YOU AGAIN VIA THE INTERNET. I love you even though I have never met you. Is that hard to understand?

Hey Melanie--I guess I logged in under my daughter's name. Sorry! This is Teri from Working the Earth. NOT April (although I know she would feel the same way!)

Yes, they are furry fuzzy and feathered-- and cute-- thank goodness they go back to the 'farm' and don't live in those cages.

I love how curious the sheep look, and how blissed out the pig is!
