Have I mentioned that the weather so far this summer has been awful? According to the long range forecast, we'll be having thunderstorms for the next 6 days followed by simple, non-dramatic showers like the one's we've been having since the beginning of June.Is the weather where you are odd this summer?

We are experiencing probably pretty typical summer for here, generally: hot. But...there have been clouds building up in the east each afternoon (probably what you are experiencing). We normally have some thunder storms in the summer up in the mountains with them sometimes coming down here in the foothills. It always scares me and makes me fear the wildfires because we are brown and dry, unlike you in the east who are green and wet.
Could it get any odder? I awoke to torrential rain again this morning at 5:20 and had to rush to shut all the windows before my floors were completely soaked. It's okay, though, I have nearly finished building my ark. You're welcome to join me on it.
dreadful spring and now summer...i can't believe it really, can't believe i'm praying for hot and humid, if only for a respite from all this gray.
it's "summer" all year round where i live, so the changes in weather/seasons are quite minimal - which can be very monotonous. but june/july are supposed to be very rainy/monsoon months. but we've hardly had any.
