Friends, wine, 2 exuberant dogs, fresh mozzarella and crackers, the last rays of the long-absent summer sun. I hope all of you had similarly good combinations today.
lovely photos of what sounds like a lovely time. esp like the wine glass full and wine glass empty shots but all are so hazy with the summer heat. which i for one havent felt yet.
I'm there with you! What a glorious day you had. We are sweltering in 100+ degrees here in the Foothills. Give me some of those ferns and the cool air they require to stay alive and green...it's too hot to even step out of the door most of the day.
Using Jack Kerouac's 30 Rules of Spontaneous Prose as a guide, Secret Notebooks • Wild Pages is a collection of daily inspirations — from the momentous to the miniscule. It's where I tell the true story of my world and keep track of the days with musings, photos, illustrations, links, poems, and even the occasional recipe.
Along the way, I'm discovering an ever-expanding community of like-minded individuals. Feel free to add your voice to the conversation — I love comments and try to respond. You can also send me an email here.
"It is a face seen once and lost forever in a crowd, an eye that looked, a face that smiled and vanished on a passing train, it is a prescience of snow upon a certain night, the laughter of a woman in a summer street long years ago, it is the memory of a single moon seen at the pines' dark edge in old october — and all of our lives are written in the twisting of a leaf upon the bough, a door that opened, and a stone." — Thomas Wolf

Wonderful post. A meadow. Sniff. (That's envy, not hay fever)
